Residency Pathways

Categorical Pediatrics

A three-year program providing a broad exposure to the pediatric spectrum and the optimal balance between general pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties.

Child Neurology

A five-year fully integrated and ACGME-accredited program that trains residents to be clinically excellent child neurologists.

Pediatrics & Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency Program

A newly accredited combined residency training program in Pediatrics & Medical Genetics and Genomics, a 4-year fast-track combination of our categorical Pediatrics and Medical Genetics and Genomics residency.

Physician Scientist Training Pathway (PSTP)

One of only 30 pediatric departments in the United States, this pathway promotes the training and early career development of physician scientists who will become future leaders in academic medicine.

Fellowship Pathways at UI Health Care

After successfully completing your residency, you will have the opportunity to further specialize by joining one of several fellowships, both within the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics or within UI Health care.
